The Nigeria Customs Service says Access Bank has resolved issues with its indigenous trade platform, B’Odogwu and importers and their agents can now generate their Form Ms at the bank.
Customs had on Friday 4th April, 2025 issued a memo addressed to the B’Odogwu project manager at the PTML Port in Apapa, Lagos, port users and stakeholders to desist from opening their respective Form Ms with Access Bank “till all pending internal issues within the bank are resolved.”
However, speaking with The Nigerian Economy on Thursday, PTML Customs spokesman, Mr Abdullahi Abubakar said Access Bank had resolved the issues with B’Odogwu and importers and clearing agents can now generate their Form Ms at the bank.
“There was an issue with Access Bank regarding the B’Odogwu platform, but the bank has resolved the issue and we will issue another memo to inform port users to resume generation of their Form Ms at the bank,” Abubakar said.
In the earlier memo titled, “Conclusion of Provisional Release on B’Odogwu; Generation of Form M & PAAR on NICIS II in PTML Command,” the PTML Customs notified all stakeholders on the conclusion of proliferated use of provisional release(4900) for assessments in the Command.
“Effective immediately, all stakeholders are to apply for their respective Form M and PAAR on the UCMS (B’odogwu) digital platform for all new declarations,” the command stated.
The Customs also reiterated that generation of Form M and PAAR on NICIS II has been discontinued and any agent who generates same on NICIS II does so at his/her own risk, and would not be able to assess declarations in PTML Command.
“Consequently, any trader found wanting would have to re-register and start the process all over again,” Customs stated, calling on all traders and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
