President Bola Tinubu has appointed Delta State politician and an ex-Secretary to the State Government, Mr Chiedu Ebie as Chairman of the new Board and Management team of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The appointment was announced on Tuesday in a statement by the President’s special adviser (Media and Publicity), Ajuri Ngelale.
Ebie, a lawyer, was a commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education and later became Secretary to the Delta State Government under the Ifeanyi Okowa administration.
The president also appointed other members of the NDDC Board as follows:
Dr. Samuel Ogbuku – Managing Director / CEO – BayelsaMr. Boma Iyaye – Executive Director (Finance and Admin) – RiversMr. Victor Antai – Executive Director (Projects) – Akwa-Ibom
Ifedayo Abegunde – Executive Director (Corporate Services) – Ondo

Mr. Abasi Ndikan Nkono – State Representative – Akwa Ibom
Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya – State Representative – Delta
Chief Tony Okocha – State Representative – Rivers
Hon Patrick Aisowieren – State Representative – Edo
Mr. Kyrian Uchegbu – State Representative – Imo
Victor Kolade Akinjo – State Representative – Ondo

“The President expects that the new Board and Management team will ensure a new era of successful administration in the NDDC, in line with his Renewed Hope agenda. All of the above listed appointments take immediate effect,” Ngelale stated.
