During a brief parley with The Economy, Dana Air’s spokesman, Mr Kingsley Okwudili said with more than 98% of Nigerian adults not able to afford air transport, the airline keeps focusing on its best to make the safest and most convenient transport service affordable in the country, amidst all odds, including high cost of aviation fuel and general operation.
Meanwhile, the airline recently bagged the Nigerian AviaCargo Airline of the Year Award at the CHINET Aviation and Cargo conference held at Lagos Marriott Hotel Lagos.
CHINET is the biggest gathering of Professionals in the Aviation and Cargo environment bringing together all players in the value chain.
According to the organiser of the AviaCargo conference Mr Ikechi Uko, the award is in recognition of Dana Air’s contribution to the growth of the aviation and cargo industry in Nigeria.
Reacting to the award, the Chief Operating Officer of Dana Air, Ememobong Ettete said, Dana Air having spent 15 years in the industry will remain a key player and contributor to the Aviation, Cargo sector in Nigeria and by extension the Nigerian economy.
